BONDING

Dr. Stone performs a procedure called bonding which is an excellent method of repairing minor imperfections such as chips, broken or stained teeth. Usually performed on anterior and front teeth, bonding is an excellent means to fill in gaps between teeth. Although no cosmetic dentistry procedure can take the place of good oral and periodontal hygiene, dental bonding can brighten your smile quickly and easily.

PORCELAIN VENEERS

Dr. Stone customizes porcelain veneers, or porcelain laminates which are bonded onto the front side of teeth of his patients to dramatically improve their appearance. Porcelain veneers are routinely used to idealize teeth that are discolored, worn, chipped or misaligned. Two beneficial reasons for choosing porcelain veneers include: (1.) they are highly resistant to stains, and (2.) the translucency effect mimics the light handling characteristics of enamel giving the tooth a beautiful, very life-like appearance. Porcelain veneer technique utilizes the bonding capabilities to securely attach a thin sheet of porcelain to a tooth using durable bonding materials. Although porcelain is inherently brittle, when it is firmly bonded to a sturdy substructure (a tooth) it becomes extremely strong and durable.
